i came down here looking for her. . .
it's been so long. . .this memory i still cant shake.
there was a light here in the deep darkness; i saw it
and remembered how she had left.
it was as if i heard her cries and laments in my head,
thought i was a madman, imagining something
dreaming that what was lost could be regained
dreaming. . .
Eurydice. . .no, much older than she
so i descended, broke through the boundary
and started swimming down, down,
through murky seas
and tangled at each fathom with tendrils
from each ocean
still swimming down
Sophia Christi
and then it came to me, that memory from before all this
before these dream images were here,
now seeming real, now that the fullness of space was only a memory.
i feel like i'm in a dream,
wanting to wake, but can't really remember
where i was before
still searching, deeper and deeper
won't feel complete, really,
till i find her again
